“I know enough to be dangerous”-Marissa Mayer
Hey there, I’m Lizzi! I like to call myself a Jane of all trades–I am a lifelong learner who appreciates smart marketing, good design and entrepreneurial spirits.
I graduated from college with a degree in marketing and management information systems after I discovered my letter to Hogwarts was not coming, and coding was the next best thing. I like to take chances, and that attitude has led me to acting on Broadway and London, working for Microsoft, and competing at Miss America.
Hustle could have been my middle name. Fortunately, it’s Gabrielle.
Growing up playing sports, the one lesson that stood out to me was in order to succeed you need to be scrappy. I learn quick and pivot quicker in order to bring results. After having my job lost from an unlikely company bankruptcy, the skills I had been cultivating since I was 12 allowed me to work for myself and expand on my knowledge.
“Think of me as a Jane of all trades. I know enough about a lot of things to be effective in the workplace.”
The T-skillset model has been something I have been working on since elementary school. While formally trained in marketing, I have self-taught myself video editing, design, Japanese, front end development, among other things (like topnotch Superohero facts). I may not be an expert in everything, but I know a thing or two about hard work, moving quickly to get things done, and utilizing what I know in order to fill in the gaps of what I will eventually learn. I’m a motivational speaker, web designer, market specialist, business owner, actress among many other things–and all this was done before I ever walked the stage of my college graduation ceremony.
Through years of research and practice I have learned the sure fire way to build actionable skills to be successful in any field of work I’m in.
I’m always on the lookout for exciting new projects to work on! I also happen to like meeting new friends. If you happen to meet either of those criteria, click on that pretty purple button down below.
Want to know more about me? Great! I’m an over-sharer.
